Shabazz Student Support Staff
Our Student Support Staff includes three full-time staff members and two school nurses who divide their time between Shabazz High School and Sherman Middle School. Our Support Staff is available to our students and families Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Conversations with staff members are confidential; however there are exceptions if the situation involves risk of harm to the student or someone else.
The primary purpose of the support staff is to support the creation of environments and a customized system of supports that maximize opportunities for learning and ensure that all students develop the knowledge, skills, and habits needed to achieve personal success as a college, career, and community ready individual. The team as a whole advocates for change in our quest for educational equity, If you have questions about student support services at your Shabazz, contact the school and you will be connected to someone who can help.
