Hello Shabazz families,

Over the coming two weeks, we will be moving from 1st to 2nd semester, which means an odd collection of dates. Please read on for this transitional calendar and other important news:

Monday 1/17: NO SCHOOL - MLK Jr Day

Tuesday 1/18: Regular Day of School

Wednesday 1/19: Celebration of Learning

Thursday 1/20: Student Support Day

Friday 1/21: NO SCHOOL - Grade Reporting/Eval Writing

Monday, 1/24: NO SCHOOL - Project-Based Learning Prep for Teachers

Tuesday, 1/25: New Student Orientation (ONLY new 2nd semester students attend) - See Schedule and More Info Here!

Wednesday, 1/26: 2nd Semester Kick-Off! (ALL students attend)

Thursday, 1/27: Regular Day of School 

Friday, 1/28: Regular Day of School

ATTENTION JUNIORS: ACT PREP CLASS

The ACT will be taken by all juniors on Tuesday, March 8, 2022. This year, MMSD is offering a free, virtual ACT prep class. Participants will learn skills and strategies for ACT success, and earn 0.25 elective credit towards graduation! See this flyer for more information!

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY OBSERVANCE: FEATURING ILLYASAH SHABAZZ!

The featured speaker at the official Madison/Dane County MLK Day observance will be Ilyasah Shabazz, the daughter of Malcolm X. We encourage you to join the live, virtual broadcast at 6PM on Monday, January 17th, by visiting this link.
