Even though Shabazz has its own unique graduation ceremony, all Shabazz graduates have the option to participate in the ceremony of their home school.
Below is information about graduation at East, La Follette, Memorial, and West. This information may change, so it is the student's responsibility to connect with their home school for all of the details.*
East High School
Shabazz students with East as their home school are encouraged to watch for important announcements about East’s graduation throughout the upcoming months. Information will be shared on the East website: https://east.madison.k12.wi.us/graduation-information

La Follette High School
Midwest Scholastic location: the Midwest Scholastic will be at La Follette on January 11 at 10:00 am. They will return the following Thursday and Friday to take the orders and give out t-shirts/sweat pants etc. Most of La Follette's grad mailings will go out in April.

West High School
West students at alternative schools are welcome to participate in the West graduation ceremony, as long as they meet the requirements (must have 20.5 credits and be on track to graduate by the end of summer school - some programs are not based on # of credits, so those students can participate if their program confirms they will graduate.) West will send out graduation information to all seniors, including those at alternative programs. Go to west.mmsd.org and click on the “For Families” or “For Students” menu and then click on “Senior Information”.
*The Midwest Scholastic store will be at West HS during lunch on Jan 11 & 12 to pick up orders for cap and gown and other graduation items. Pick-up of items will be scheduled late April or early May.
*West Senior Party - Sat Jun 2, 2018 @ 7pm
*The senior photo has not been scheduled yet - we will notify you when that occurs. Traditionally, it has been the Wednesday prior to graduation after the last final exam, usually 12:30 PM.
*West Graduation - Sat, June 9, 2018 @ 1pm at Kohl Center
