We have an opportunity where we need your input. MMSD is expected to receive $42.4 million dollars in one-time ESSER III funding to support learning, mental health, and other COVID-19 related areas.

We need your help madison to keep kids in the classroom

If you (or someone you know) are interested in helping keep Madison schools open by serving in one of these important roles, we encourage you to visit the MMSD Community Strong website. There, you will be able to submit required information in a streamlined process, and learn additional details. It is important to note, volunteers and applicants must provide evidence of COVID vaccination and, depending on position, may be subject to a background check.

Health and Safety Information

As we renew our focus on safety protocols, we want to inform you of two important updates to our layered risk mitigation strategy. These updates come after close consultation with our medical advisory team, and after consideration of revised guidelines for schools from PHMDC, DHS, and the CDC.

Testing helps reduce community spread and keeps schools operating safely. Testing individuals who are symptomatic or close contacts helps enable rapid detection of cases in the school community and reduce or prevent school outbreaks. LIST OF SITES
