117 MMSD scholars received the 2022 MLK Outstanding Young Person Awards from the Urban League of Greater Madison. The middle and high school students were honored on Jan. 16, with the award recognizing their commitment to embodying the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr.

We have an opportunity where we need your input. MMSD is expected to receive $42.4 million dollars in one-time ESSER III funding to support learning, mental health, and other COVID-19 related areas.

It is important to note, volunteers and applicants must provide evidence of COVID vaccination and, depending on position, may be subject to a background check.
As we renew our focus on safety protocols, we want to inform you of two important updates to our layered risk mitigation strategy. These updates come after close consultation with our medical advisory team, and after consideration of revised guidelines for schools from PHMDC, DHS, and the CDC.
Testing helps reduce community spread and keeps schools operating safely. Testing individuals who are symptomatic or close contacts helps enable rapid detection of cases in the school community and reduce or prevent school outbreaks. LIST OF SITES
